Where does Jiro work?

Jiro is running its pilot in Abuja, starting with the corridor from Kubwa to Wuse and the Central Business District, and growing across the city. The app shows exactly where you can be picked up.

How do I pay?

For everyday rides you pay the driver the agreed fare directly, by cash or bank transfer. Scheduled rides and shuttle seats are paid in the app by card or bank when you book.

How does "name your price" work?

Jiro suggests a fair fare for your route. You can accept it or offer a different amount; nearby drivers accept or counter-offer, and you pick the offer you like. If you'd rather not wait, Instant match gives you one fixed price and the first available driver.

How are drivers verified?

Every driver's NIN is checked and matched to a live selfie, their documents are reviewed, and both the driver and the vehicle are inspected in person at a Jiro Experience Centre before their first trip.

What if something goes wrong on a trip?

Tap SOS in the trip screen to alert your emergency contacts and the Jiro safety team, and call 112. You can also share your trip live with family, and report any issue from Support in the app.

How much does Jiro take from drivers?

Between 6% and 10% of each completed fare. New drivers start at 10%, and the rate falls as you complete more trips in a 30-day period and keep a strong rating. The rate for each trip is on its receipt.

How do I become a driver?

Download the Jiro Driver app, sign in with your phone number and complete your application — profile and NIN, licence, vehicle and documents. We'll invite you to an Experience Centre for your inspection, and you can start driving once you're approved.

Can I send a package?

Yes. Choose Courier in the rider app to send or receive a package by car or motorcycle. The recipient gets a delivery code, and the courier only completes the delivery with it.
